How to remove yourself from MyLife
MyLife is a people-search site. Sites like this build listings from public records and purchased data, often with your address, age, phone number and relatives. Here's how to ask it to remove you, for free. You don't need Free My ID to do this.
What you'll need
- Your name, as it shows on the listing
- An email address for removals (a separate one just for this is best)
- A phone number the site can call or text with a code
Step by step
Open the privacy request page and fill in your name and removal email.
MyLife may ask for a phone number. Only give it if you are comfortable doing so.
MyLife may try to start an account or ask for ID. Stop if so. You do not need to do either.
If the page does not work, email privacy@mylife.com asking for your listing to be deleted.
Opens www.mylife.com, MyLife's own website.
We haven't been able to check these steps against MyLife's live page yet. Sites change their pages often, so if something looks different, follow what the page says.
You should never have to pay to be removed. If a people-search site asks for money or your Social Security number, stop.
Or let Free My ID do it
Free My ID opens MyLife's removal page in your own browser, with these steps beside it and a Copy button for each box. On sites that allow it, it can fill the boxes in while you watch. You tick any "I'm not a robot" box yourself. Then it checks again later, because sites can list people again.
